Burlap & Lace Wedding

It's so nice to get a referral from a satisfied cookie customer...Ashley was one of these occasions. Didn't meet, but just from our correspondence I could tell she was going to have a great wedding. Venue was lovely too...Rose Hill Community Center in Mukilteo. Popular rustic/country theme with old fashioned flowers, burlap accents and a sweets table complete with cupcakes from a friend and a 3 layer vanilla cake with burlap and lace accents. Then pretty wisteria colored mason jar cookies as table favors...which of course I didn't take a picture of, but you get the point. Sweet Love for sure.

My co-worker Shannon was busy being crafty...making paper heart chains and coordinating the Bellini Bar for her friends shower. She settled on wedding ring cookies and pink covered Oreo pops for some cute favors and bridal treats.

Billie Sue's mom was celebrating a big birthday with a nod to the tropics, so I decorated what I'm calling Tiki Elegance. Yup...those are Pirouline cookies to imitate tiki hut siding in the back and grass hula skirt frosting in the front!

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Celeste loved the 6 layer cake I made for Rocco's 1st birthday so much that she ordered another one for Mercer's 4th. Rainbow bright & covered in coordinating m-n-m candies...of course there were cookies too! I'm hoping she'll share her professional pics again too...such a nice family!

Golden Birthday

This was a new holiday for me...and sadly one that I'll never have the opportunity to celebrate. A golden birthday is when your birthdate coincides with your age that year...for me that would have been on my fifth birthday since my birthdate is June 5. Won't be seeing five again that's for sure, but what a fun theme to plan a special party around. This order was for a 2nd birthday girl...very sweet, dontcha think?

2014 WSH Handbag Auction...checkout DJH Designs handcrafted awesomeness!

This year's contributions included a coffee themed tray, cookies (of course) & the grand finale potting bench! DJH just got an order for another one too...it was a hot bid item in the garden section for sure!

Can you see the vintage Maxwell House coffee can planted with a marigold? The vine was also beautiful & had a lovely orange blossom that decided to fall off as I was planting it...argh! Plus a handmade bag fashioned from a burlap coffee sack sewn by Kris P.

Isn't it fantastic! Almost too nice to get dirt on! Winner also got an upcycled pair of Davey's carpenter pants fashioned into a garden apron...adorable meets functional.

Sarah's Pool Party

This was such a cute theme...not really under the sea, but all things that swim. Errr, do octopus swim? In any case there were swedish fish, clown fish, octopus & sharks that were so big I had to cut them in half, which kind of made them look like they we're coming out of the water. All yummy gummy creatures on pool blue vanilla cream icing on French vanilla cake.

Baby Gender Reveal Party

I guess this is the latest trend in showers...or pre-showers as it were. Actually had two of these events to bake for within just a few weeks of each other...first was twins (both girls) & grandma ordered pink & blue buggies...I threw in my vote by including an extra pink buggy!!

But this round was really special because I got to be the first, outside of the happy parents, to know what gender their bundle of joy was going to be! Secret filling let everyone know.

The Hadster Turns One!

Sweet Hadley at her red riding hood themed first birthday party...she wasn't sure about all of the attention, but the spread was fantastic!

  Chocolate Shroom cakes...PB cups gave them the height. Thank you Grampa Ray for the mossy stumps!

And vanilla Oreo truffle Shroom Pops...check out the awesome box from DJH Designs that held the pops & gnome cookies! Peanut Brittle in the back too...mmmm!

Lil' Raindrop Baby Shower

Such a cute idea...my graphic artist friend from work hosted a shower for her sister. I loved the theme even though it meant some hand cutting...clouds, fat raindrops & bumbers! Of course, I neglected to take any pics (typical) & the cookies went fast, but here's the favor basket & the inspiration invite. Pale shades of yellow & green with white clouds.
